Youth Media

Filmmakers Youth Media provides media literacy education to the region with innovative classes, hands-on workshops, and outreach programs to schools and other community partners. Classes, camps, and workshops are offered in a wide range of media including digital video, filmmaking, photography, animation, and programming. 

PF/PCA has been a leader in media education and home to one of the oldest and most respected film, digital media, and photography schools in the country for over forty years. Though Filmmakers Youth Media, PF/PCA provides comprehensive media literacy education to young people and adults. Housed in the Annie Seamans Media Arts Lab, a state-of-the-art facility consisting of three classrooms located in the Scaife School Building.

Pittsburgh Filmmakers Youth Media is always accepting resumes from teaching artists. Currently, we are hiring an Acting Teacher for our Acting For the Camera Workshop summer camp running July 18-22. Actors with on-camera acting experience are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. Email resume and/or questions to Susan Howard, showard@pfpca.org.
