Video Production 1
Prerequisite: Motion Picture Fundamentals. 42 classroom hours.
In this hands-on course students acquire the skills required to design, shoot and edit high-definition video. The class combines demonstrations, lectures, exercises, projects and critiques. Students are given several shooting and editing assignments. Emphasis is placed on visual and aural expression through technical mastery of the video medium. Topics include digital camera operation, lighting, audio recording, scripting, and non-linear editing with Adobe Premiere CC. Grading is based on the quality of work produced and on written exams. All necessary equipment is provided.
