“Non-credit” tuition for each full-length course is $615. Non-credit tuition is discounted to $575
for all registrants who register and pay in full ON-LINE by Sunday Jan. 1, 2017. Classes can be taken on a credit transcript basis directly through Pittsburgh Filmmakers at a tuition rate of $1150 for each 42-classroom-hour course (the equivalent of three credits). There is no early registration discount on classes taken on a credit transcript basis. Certificate students should contact their advisor for Certficate tuition. Unregistered students may only attend the first class if permission has been granted by the Registrar. A limited number of scholarships are now available for non-credit students demonstrating financial need.
Pittsburgh Filmmakers does not participate in Title IV financial aid programs. A limited number of scholarships are available to low-income students taking classes on a non-credit basis. Tuition discounts are available for PF/PCA Associate and Access Members. See the Membership guidelines for details on Member discounts.
There is no difference in the content of the course whether taken on a non-credit or credit transcript basis. Courses taken on a non-credit basis are not acceptable for transfer to a post-secondary institution. A student may decide to change the status of his/her courses from non-credit to credit transcript at a later date by paying the difference between the non-credit and current credit transcript tuition, plus a small processing fee.
