Basic Digital Photography
Prerequisite: None. 42 classroom hours.
Want to jump into the vast world of photography? Why not get your camera and start shooting right away? This class will help you find your unique photographic style, with its practical exploration of camera controls, print quality, composition, and inspiring subject matter. You’ll learn how to talk about photography, and learn about exposure, quality of light, the use of Adobe Lightroom for digital file management, image manipulation and digital printing. Students should have their own camera; a few digital SLRs will be available for use during the semester. Grading is based on assignments, written exams and a final portfolio.
