S. Rick Armstrong: i solo

Friday, July 21, 2017 to Sunday, September 10, 2017

We live solo amongst the noise.

Internal dialogue as sanctuary.

We are amongst others.

We endure alone. Themes drift

then settle

photographs snared by myth.

i solo

"This collection of photographs from random locations has accumulate with a surprise theme;

individuals in isolation, or solo, as well as individuals in groups, in isolation, despite the crowd.

If a photograph is the distillation of visual intuition, of the images we commit to, is there

meaning attached?  As a photographer, why persist?   The individuals in the pictures possess

one thing in particular. These are people who are sharing.  Their voices are anonymous,

personal and gracious, sharing an instinctive primal connection.  Many thanks to these folks.

We are alone together."
