40 works of photography and moving images by 14 artists who teach at Pittsburgh Filmmakers. The processes utilized include digital inkjet and hand colored prints, Lumen (photogram) prints, Polaroids and chromogenic metallic paper of scanned instant film. The material application of photography is also explored through lightboxes and fiber photographs with gouache pigment collages, as well as a few time based works of video and animation.

Sue Abramson, who has nearly 30 years of experience as the Associate Professor of Photography at PF, remarked, ”It is an important time for the organization to celebrate its community of artists. These faculty have inspired students, members, and each other for years and hope to continue doing so for years to come.”
The opening reception on Friday, September 16th, from 6-8 p.m. is free and open to the public and catered by Liliput Cafe. Following the reception will be a screening of the new documentary Don't Blink-Robert Frank in the Melwood Screening Room. Regular admission rates apply.
