The 2016 Photography Intensive exhibition presents the work of five artists, Jesse Clifton, Anna DeLuise, Megan McGinley, MacKenzie Randall and Elizabeth Widder. These artists are exhibiting a few examples from class assignments however the majority of the work comes from individual personal projects created during the second semester.
The theme of identity emerged from all of the student’s portfolios adding a serendipitous cohesion to this exhibition. Jesse Clifton, MacKenzie Randall and Elizabeth Widder explore close personal family relationships in regards to loss and change and how these major events continue to shape their lives. Megan McGinley creates portraits of women describing the way they see themselves in a project entitled “We Are”. Finally, Anna Deluise explores the feeling of being young and indestructible in a series of fashion/portraits that are filled with hope and joy.
The opening reception is on Saturday, April 30th, from 7-9 p.m. and free to the public. The graduation ceremony begins at 8 p.m. with a screening of the Filmmaking Intensive student work to follow in the Melwood Screening Room.
